Welcome to our community food distribution initiative! We are grateful for your interest in volunteering to help distribute food to those in need. Below are the terms and services that guide our volunteer program to ensure a safe, respectful, and effective experience for all participants.
Volunteer Requirements
Registration: All volunteers must complete a registration form prior to participation. This includes providing contact information.
Orientation: Attendance at a volunteer orientation session is mandatory. During this session, you will receive essential training on food handling, distribution procedures, and safety protocols.
Age Restrictions: Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Those under 18 must have a signed consent form from a parent or guardian.
Volunteer Responsibilities
Punctuality: Volunteers are expected to arrive on time for their scheduled shifts. Reliable attendance ensures a smooth operation and equitable distribution of resources.
Respectful Interaction: Treat all recipients and fellow volunteers with respect and kindness. Our goal is to create a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone involved.
Confidentiality: Volunteers must respect the privacy of recipients and refrain from sharing personal details outside the program.
Safety Protocols: Follow all safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to hygiene standards. Your safety and the safety of others is our top priority.
Code of Conduct
Professionalism: Volunteers are representatives of our organization and are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
Substance-Free Environment: The use of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited during volunteer activities. Volunteers must remain sober and alert to perform their duties effectively.
Dress Code: Wear appropriate clothing that is comfortable and suitable for an active and potentially messy environment. Closed-toe shoes are required.
Feedback
We welcome and encourage volunteers to provide feedback on their experiences to help improve our program.
Liability
Waiver of Liability: By volunteering, participants agree to waive any claims of liability against the organization, its staff, and other volunteers for any injury or loss incurred during participation.
Insurance: Volunteers are encouraged to have their own health insurance coverage, as the organization does not provide medical insurance for volunteers.
